Compare · Mobbin MCP vs Mozaika · July 2026
Both MCPs answer your agent. One sends a picture. One sends the numbers.
Mobbin's MCP gives agents access to the biggest screen library in the category. Mozaika's gives agents measured design systems decoded from the live DOM. This page compares them at the level that matters — what the tool call actually returns — and is honest about where each one wins.
01 · The tool-call, side by side
Same intent. Different payloads.
Per Mobbin's own MCP documentation, its server “returns screen images inline” — your agent receives reference pictures and must estimate type, spacing and color from pixels. Mozaika's get_section returns the measurements themselves.

honestly found mobbin mcp to be useless … when it comes to taking inspiration
— early public user review of the Mobbin MCP, 2026. One data point, not a verdict — but it names the structural limit of image payloads for agents.02 · Where Mobbin wins — no hedging
Breadth, curation, mobile. Mobbin is the giant here.
Across iOS, Android and web apps, plus ~200 marketing sites — per mobbin.com, July 2026. Mozaika's library is a fraction of this.
Weekly-updated, taxonomized, including paid and region-locked apps they subscribe to just to capture. That archive can't be quickly replicated — by us or anyone.
“Trusted by 2M+ designers” per mobbin.com/mcp. The brand and community are real, and the screens are real shipped UI, not concept art.
All the screens present there are real-life projects so, it isn't concept UI like those you find on dribble

03 · Where Mozaika wins
Buildable specs, a real free tier, and boring honest billing.
Specs, not screenshots. Every section in Mozaika carries measured type (size / weight / tracking), color roles with usage semantics (which hex is the action color, which is the canvas), spacing and radius sets — exportable as DESIGN.md, Tailwind config, CSS variables or W3C tokens via get_design_system.
A genuinely free MCP tier. 25 metered tool calls per month, no card required; search stays unmetered; a rotating open shelf of 30 fully-decoded systems. Enough for an agent to finish a real build before you pay anything.
Monthly billing exists. Mozaika is $9/month, $60/year, or $59 once (founder lifetime). Per Mobbin's pricing page (July 2026), Pro is billed yearly — about $120 upfront — or quarterly; there is no monthly plan. That gap is a top user complaint in public threads:
You can't pay monthly, so you have to pay either $120 for yearly subscription or $45 for quarterly… I want whatever the hell they were smoking when they decided on their payment tiers
— Reddit user on Mobbin pricing (public thread, 2026)Flat pricing, no credits. No usage meters on paid plans, no paying twice when an agent retries. Cancel in two clicks.

05 · The grown-up answer
Plenty of teams should use both.
Research the what in Mobbin — patterns, flows, how ten different apps solve onboarding. Then hand your agent the how from Mozaika — the measured system that makes the build match a real, working design instead of the model's trained-mean default. Where they overlap (web marketing + product pages, agent workflows), try both free paths and read the payloads yourself: our side-by-side proof shows exactly what a spec changes in the final output.
06 · FAQ
Quick answers.
Does Mobbin have an MCP server?
Yes. Mobbin launched its MCP in May 2026, giving agents access to its library of 621,500+ real app screens. Per Mobbin's own documentation, the MCP returns screen images inline — reference pictures, not structured design specs.
What's the practical difference between the two MCPs?
Mobbin's MCP hands your agent images to look at; the agent still estimates sizes, weights and colors from pixels. Mozaika's MCP hands your agent measured values from the live DOM — e.g. a heading at 64px, weight 510, tracking −1.41px — plus color roles with usage semantics and radius sets, so the agent can build to spec.
Where does Mobbin clearly win?
Breadth and mobile. 8 years of hand curation, 1,428 apps, 621,500+ screens across iOS/Android/web, updated weekly (their site, July 2026). Mozaika is web-only with a far smaller library. For mobile app research, Mobbin is the category leader and we're not a substitute.
How do the prices compare?
Per Mobbin's pricing page (July 2026): Pro billed yearly (~$120 upfront) or quarterly, no monthly plan. Mozaika: $9/month, $60/year, or $59 once (founder lifetime), with a free MCP tier — 25 calls/month, no card. Neither uses credits; Mozaika never meters paid accounts per call.
