The signature element is the recurring full-bleed dark application screenshots embedded in an otherwise airy off-white page, paired with a low-contrast section-label typographic system (small blue section titles like "Zed Just Works", "Open Source", "Built with ultimate care"). A horizontal stats strip (9,268 forks / 86,001 stars / 1,991 contributors / 810 PRs) and a giant tiled contributor-avatar mosaic reinforce the open-source identity before the deep-blue footer.
