How we bill · the policy, in plain terms
No credits. No countdowns. No cancellation maze.
Design-tool billing has earned its reputation — annual-only walls, trials that convert themselves, credit meters that charge you for the tool's own mistakes. Mozaika's answer is a deliberately boring bill: flat plans on Stripe, a monthly option that will never disappear, a founder price capped by seats instead of timers, and a 30-day money-back guarantee on the Founder License. This page is the policy itself, written down so you can hold us to it.
01 · The prices
Every price, one table.
No pricing-page choreography here — this is the complete list, including the one that's cheaper than the one we'd rather sell you.
| Plan | Price | Billed | The terms that matter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free MCP + gallery |
$0 | Never — no card on file | 25 MCP tool calls/mo, unmetered search, a rotating 30-system open shelf, gallery browsing. It cannot auto-convert into a charge, because there is nothing to convert. |
| Pro — Monthly the front door |
$9 /mo | Monthly, via Stripe | The full product — library, MCP, Skill. Cancel anytime in two clicks; access runs to the end of the paid period. This plan is permanent: monthly will not be retired in favor of annual-only. |
| Pro — Annual same pro, cheaper |
$60 /yr (≈$5/mo) | Yearly, via Stripe | Identical to monthly Pro, −44%. A discount for people who want it — never a wall. Cancel anytime; cancellation simply stops the next renewal. |
| Founder Lifetime seat-capped |
$59 once | Once. Never again. | Everything in Pro, for the life of the product, one charge. Capped by a fixed number of founder seats — when they're gone, lifetime becomes $199. No countdown, no deadline, no midnight reset. Details in section 03. |
| Lifetime after founder seats |
$199 once | Once | The same license at the post-founder price. Listed here now so the future price isn't a surprise invented later. |
| Team seat-based |
$10 /seat/mo | Monthly, via Stripe | Everything in Pro for every seat (from 2 seats). Central billing; add or remove seats anytime — removals apply to the next invoice, no lock-in. |
| Students verification |
−50% | On any paid plan | Half price with academic verification, applied at checkout. Because the people learning to build shouldn't fund the discount for the people who already ship. |
Where monthly lives: on /pricing, one tap on the billing toggle — not behind a sales call, not "contact us", not a footnote. If you ever find the monthly option harder to reach than the annual one, that's a bug in our ethics: email support@mozaika.design.
02 · The commitments
Seven rules, each written against a trap you'll recognize.
The left column is the category's standard playbook — documented across public reviews, forums and refund threads. We name names with sources on the compare pages; this page just refuses the moves. Each rule below is a commitment you can quote back at us.
Credit meters — where a failed generation, a retry, or the tool's own error burns your balance.
R·01Flat plans. No credits anywhere.
There is no credit balance in Mozaika, so nothing you do can consume one. A retry costs nothing. An error costs nothing. Your bill is the plan price, and never anything else.
Quota that quietly drains — every call counted, including the ones that return you nothing.
R·02Gated calls are never counted.
On the free tier, a call that hits the paywall returns a structured upgrade payload your agent can relay — and it does not touch your 25 monthly calls. Search is unmetered. Quota is only spent on calls that hand over the goods.
Annual-only pricing — roughly a year's money up front, or nothing.
R·03Monthly exists, front and center.
$9/month, full product, no feature ransom. Annual is a discount for people who prefer it, not a hostage negotiation. The monthly plan is permanent.
The cancellation maze — retention flows, chat-only cancellation, "give us a call."
R·04Cancel in two clicks.
Account → Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal; cancel is right there. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for. No exit interview, no guilt screen, no human in the loop unless you want one.
Fake urgency — countdown timers that reset at midnight, "offer ends soon" that never ends.
R·05The founder price is a seat cap, not a timer.
$59 holds until the founder seats are gone; then lifetime is $199, permanently, and both /pricing and this page will say so. There is no countdown clock anywhere on this site. If the price pressure isn't real, we don't get to use it.
"All sales final" — refunds granted by exception, after a fight, if ever.
R·06Thirty days, money back.
Founder License: one email to support@mozaika.design within 30 days, refunded to your original payment method via Stripe — no form, no call. Subscriptions: cancel in two clicks; you're never charged again and access runs to the end of the paid period.
The trial that converts itself — a tiny charge today that quietly becomes a big one on day four.
R·07Free requires no card, so it cannot convert.
25 MCP calls a month, unmetered search, and the rotating open shelf — free indefinitely, with no payment method on file. The only way you get charged is by deciding to be.
03 · The founder cap
Why $59, and why it honestly ends.
Why the price is low: Mozaika launched in 2026. Buying a lifetime license from a young vendor is a bet, and early trust is worth paying for — the founder discount is the price of that bet, not a marketing costume. You take a real risk on us; you get a real discount from us.
How the cap works: there is a fixed number of founder seats. While they last, lifetime is $59. When they're sold, the lifetime license moves to $199 and stays there — the change will be visible on /pricing and reflected on this page. That's the whole mechanism. No timers, no "extended by popular demand," no cap that quietly refills.
What "lifetime" means — the sentence most deals leave out
Lifetime means the life of the product: everything in Pro, including MCP access, for as long as Mozaika runs, with one charge and no re-billing, ever. Every lifetime deal on the internet carries this same definition — most just let you discover it later. If Mozaika ever winds down, we'll say so plainly and in advance; what a lifetime license can't survive is the product itself ending. Written here rather than found out.
04 · Refunds
Thirty days, one email.
The Founder License carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Email support@mozaika.design from your account address within 30 days of the charge; you don't need a reason, though we'll read one if you feel like writing it. The refund is issued to your original payment method through Stripe, and your paid access ends when it's issued. Subscriptions work on no-lock-in instead of refunds: cancel in two clicks any time, you're never charged again, and access runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
The only fine print: refunds exist so a human can decide the product isn't for them at zero risk — not as a mechanism for cycling free months. If an account farms refunds, we'll decline the repeat performance. That's the entire exception list.
05 · FAQ
Quick answers.
Does Mozaika use credits or usage-based billing?
No. Every plan is a flat price — $9/mo, $60/yr, $59 once (founder lifetime), or $10/seat/mo for teams. There is no credit balance anywhere in the product, so nothing you do — including retries and errors — can ever consume one.
Do failed or gated MCP calls count against the free tier's 25 calls?
No. On the free tier, a call that hits the paywall returns a structured upgrade payload and is never counted against your 25 monthly tool calls. Search is unmetered. You only spend quota on calls that return the actual goods.
How do I cancel a Mozaika subscription?
Two clicks: Account → Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal, where cancel is right there. Your access runs to the end of the period you already paid for. There is no retention flow, no chat requirement, no phone call.
Is the $59 founder lifetime price a countdown deal?
No. It is a seat cap, not a timer. $59 holds until the founder seats run out; after that, the lifetime license costs $199 — permanently. There are no countdown clocks anywhere on the site and no deadlines that reset at midnight.
What is Mozaika's refund policy?
The Founder License has a 30-day money-back guarantee — one email to support@mozaika.design within 30 days, refunded via Stripe, no form, no exit interview. Subscriptions have no lock-in instead: cancel in two clicks and you're never charged again; access runs to the end of the paid period.
Is there a real monthly plan, or is it annual-only?
Monthly exists, front and center: Pro is $9/month with the full product — library, MCP, Skill. Annual ($60/yr) is a discount for people who want it, never a wall. The monthly option will not be removed.
