Agent-licensed · plain language

Yes — your agent may use this.

AI coding agents now refuse anything their caution flags as someone else's property — builders have watched them decline paid UI-kit content mid-task. So here is Mozaika's license in language both of you can read: your agent may use Mozaika's decoded specs and derived design-system data in commercial work and client work, with no attribution, forever. What you build from the specs is yours. The corpus itself stays ours. The original sites' assets and trademarks were never ours to grant — and we don't pretend otherwise.

01 · The grant

What you get, in one paragraph.

Everything Mozaika serves you — the measured specs (type sizes, weights, tracking, color roles, spacing, radii), the per-section decodes, and the derived design-system exports (DESIGN.md, Tailwind config, CSS variables, W3C tokens) over the gallery, the MCP, or the Skill — comes with a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use it in your work: commercial products, client and agency deliverables, internal tools, open-source projects, anything you ship.

Whatever you or your agent build from that data is your output. Own it, sell it, relicense it, hand the repo to your client — no royalties, no attribution, no per-project accounting. A link back is always welcome; it is never owed. And the license to your output survives your plan: cancel tomorrow and everything already built stays yours.

02 · The grant board

May and may not, at a glance.

● Your agent may
  • Build commercial products to the specs — apps, sites, dashboards, anything.
  • Use them in client and agency work, deliverables and handovers included.
  • Ship, sell, and relicense whatever it builds — the output is yours outright.
  • Keep every artifact forever, even after your plan ends.
  • Combine specs with any framework, tool, or model — no stack restrictions.
  • Skip attribution. None required, on any plan, including free.
○ Neither of you may
  • Republish or resell the corpus itself — dumps, mirrors, datasets, "token packs," or a competing reference library.
  • Scrape or bulk-export the library. In-product exports are for building, not re-hosting.
  • Share or resell MCP keys, or proxy the API to third parties as a service.
  • Use the decoded products' names, logos, screenshots, or copy as your own — those belong to their owners, and were never ours to license.
  • Pass off a pixel-for-pixel clone of a specific product as that product. No license from anyone blesses that.

03 · The careful part

What we license — and what was never ours.

Mozaika measures publicly visible pages the way a ruler does. The decoded data is measured fact — a hero heading rendered at 64px, weight 510, −1.41px tracking; a palette with its usage roles; a spacing rhythm — plus our own structured derivations of those facts. Facts about a page are not the page. What we license to you is our data layer: the measurements, the structure, the derived systems we authored.

What we do not license, because it was never ours: the original products' trademarks, logos, copy, illustrations, photography, or source code. Screenshots in the gallery are displayed as research references; their subjects keep every right they have, and we honor reasonable takedown requests at support@mozaika.design.

The line for your builds is the same line good design practice draws anyway: use the measured system to make your own thing. Learning that a great pricing page runs a 64px display weight over an 8-point rhythm, and applying that system to your product, is how design has always worked. Recreating a specific product wholesale and presenting it as that product is passing-off — outside this license and every other.

A summary your agent can quote.

One more thing that's genuinely open: the Mozaika design Skill is MIT-licensed at github.com/sezabut/mozaika-design — fork it, ship it, embed it. MIT governs the Skill; this page governs the decoded data the MCP serves.

05 · The formal version

For lawyers.

Six clauses — the plain language above, restated tightly

  1. Definitions. "Corpus" means Mozaika's collection of decoded design data and its curation. "Derived Data" means the measurements, classifications, specs, and structured derivations authored by Mozaika (including DESIGN.md, Tailwind, CSS-variable, and W3C-token exports). "Output" means anything you or your tools create using Derived Data.
  2. Grant. Novera LLC grants each account holder a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use Derived Data received through their plan (including the free tier) to create Output, and to use, modify, distribute, sell, and sublicense that Output without attribution. The license to existing Output is irrevocable and survives plan termination.
  3. Reservations. No right is granted to redistribute the Corpus or any substantial portion of it, to systematically extract or re-host Derived Data, or to sublicense, share, or resell Corpus access (including MCP keys and API proxying). Corpus access itself remains conditioned on an active plan.
  4. Third-party rights. Mozaika licenses only its own Derived Data. No rights are granted to any third party's trademarks, copyrighted assets, trade dress, or other IP, and Mozaika makes no representation that any particular Output clears third-party rights — responsibility for your final product remains yours.
  5. The Skill. The open-source Mozaika Skill is licensed separately under the MIT License at github.com/sezabut/mozaika-design; MIT terms exclusively govern it.
  6. Precedence & contact. This page reads together with the Terms of Service; where they overlap on license scope, the reading more favorable to your right to use Output prevails. Questions: support@mozaika.design.

06 · FAQ

Quick answers.

Will my AI agent refuse Mozaika content the way it refuses paid UI kits?

It shouldn't — and this page exists so it doesn't have to guess. What Mozaika serves is its own decoded, derived design-system data, explicitly licensed for agent use in commercial work at https://mozaika.design/license. If your agent hesitates mid-task, point it at this URL: the license is written to be read by one.

Can I use Mozaika specs in client work and sell what I build?

Yes. Commercial products, client and agency deliverables, internal tools, open-source projects — all covered. What you or your agent build from the specs is your output: own it, sell it, relicense it. No royalties, no seat-of-the-end-client accounting.

Do I owe Mozaika attribution or a link back?

No. Attribution is never required, on any plan, including free. A link is always welcome; it is never owed.

What happens to my work if my subscription ends?

Everything already built stays yours, forever — the license to your output is perpetual and survives cancellation. A plan is only needed to make new queries against the corpus.

Can I export Mozaika's design systems and republish them as a dataset or library?

No. Using the data to build things is the license; re-hosting the data is not. Dumps, mirrors, token-pack products, competing reference libraries, and bulk scraping are all outside the grant. Build with it — don't become a redistribution of it.

Is the Mozaika Skill really open source?

Yes — the Mozaika design Skill is MIT-licensed at github.com/sezabut/mozaika-design. MIT terms govern the Skill itself; this page governs the decoded data the MCP serves.
